I met Jacobo Morales!

Yup I met him last Wedenesday on a conference he gave on "Apreciacion del Cine." He is such a gentleman and very humble, contrary to common standards on San Juan people especially artists (although he is originally from Lajas, hmm).
Well, in the conferece he spoke about contemporary films, especially those created and produced in Puerto Rico and the importance of how they should be made more often (as well as sponsored) by us Puertoricans here and everywhere else.
He gave us a tour of USC (Univerisity of Sagrado Corazon) and he also, ahemm, showed us the first screening of his new film "Angel" which is great! Not yet in theaters and still editing process...ugh I was going to die..."Like butter"... It is a really really good movie. It has all the great elements behind Film Noir and OMG the visual narration in the film is breathtaking and even more profound than any other film I've seen to date.
It was a lovely experience but for the reason that I didn't expect to meet him that day, I got soo nervous that I forgot to tell him about Pastiche and that I'm a writer, sheesh give a girl a break! But I did talk to him and gave him my opinion on the film.
Anyway he gave us his contacts and how to contact him so I'll keep him posted.
